Sculpture is a medium known in art since antiquity, collected and supported by patrons from then to the present day. Its advantage over other media is that it is three-dimensional – accordingly, its perception is different. Bulgaria has traditions in sculpture, developing continuously in the 20th and 21st centuries, but for some reason, it is undeservedly “undervalued” by collectors.
In this exhibition, the Charta Gallery team takes out the warehouse works of great Bulgarian artists who worked and have been working for the last 130 years.
